Our Roadmap for Addressing Cancer
The new 2026—2030 Colorado Cancer Plan
Colorado’s new 2026—2030 Colorado Cancer Plan outlines eight bold goals to reduce cancer risk and improve care statewide:
- Keep pace with emerging best practices across the continuum of care
- Reduce tobacco use
- Increase healthy behaviors
- Increase uptake of clinical interventions that prevent and reduce cancer risk
- Decrease environmental exposures like radon and poor air quality
- Increase screening and early detection rates
- Ensure access to high-quality diagnosis and treatment that meets nationally recognized standards
- Strengthen the mental, emotional, behavioral, and financial well-being of people affected by cancer
Achieving the plan’s goals will require partners working together across Colorado — including health systems, clinicians, public health professionals, survivors, caregivers, and advocates.
